Sam Williams
Physiotherapist
Sam was born in Perth, Australia and because of family, he came back to the UK, where he then grew up in Southampton.
He studied Physiotherapy at University of Chichester and graduated in 2024 with an Upper Second-Class Honors.
Sam previously worked for 8 years as a Soft Tissue Therapist; yet he found that he wanted to help clients even more, which is why he then decided to complete a degree in Physiotherapy. This experience allows Sam to approach his Physiotherapy treatments with a good blend of hands on and hands off work. Sam always try to further his learning and complete more courses to add to his tool belt; ones of note being medical acupuncture and cupping therapy.
Outside of his work at Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy, Sam also works as a Therapist with Southampton Football Club’s Women’s and Girl’s teams, providing pitch side injury support, and rehabilitation off the pitch.
Sam has a real passion, and motivation, for helping clients to overcome their injuries, achieve their goals and getting them back to doing what they love. Sam finds that it’s always super rewarding seeing a client’s progress from the start of their treatment to the end.

Question & Answer
Why did you choose to work at JCP?
Having recently qualified, I wanted my first place of work to be somewhere that I was supported and where I could develop as a newly qualified Physiotherapist. This is definitely the case at Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy and all the team are great!
What do you enjoy treating?
Having a background working in sport’s, I really enjoy treating injuries in this area and getting athletes back to the sport they love. However, I like treating a variety of MSK conditions, as this allows me to think outside the box to get the best outcome.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I have a passion for football – being a Southampton FC fan, I try to attend as many games as I can around work. I also play golf (or try to…). I keep active by going on long walks in the countryside with friends and family. I love to travel and see as much of the world as possible, trying to go to a different place each year.
What is your favourite movie?
I really enjoy a thriller, so ‘Prisoners’ is one of my favourite films. However, if I wanted to have a good laugh, then one of ‘The Hangover’ films would be put on.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Having recently travelled for 4 months with my girlfriend, I absolutely loved Australia, Vietnam and Cambodia. Seeing so many different cultures was amazing, and the people were so friendly and kind! Italy and Greece are up there too!
