Sports Massage or Deep Tissue Massage is a form of soft tissue mobilisation and manipulation, which uses a variety of techniques to target the deeper layers of muscle and fascia within the body.

It’s an intense, hands-on treatment, delivered with firm pressure, compression, and slow forceful strokes.

Sports Massage was originally designed for athletes, to prevent and relieve injuries associated with repeated strenuous physical activity.

However, both athletes and non-athletes can benefit from Sports Massage treatment, as it can be applied in both sporting and non-sporting contexts.

It can be used to treat injuries, prevent injuries, prepare for physical activity, enhance performance, and promote faster recovery following physical activity.

Yes. Massage is a very safe treatment, however, there are some instances where certain conditions within your past medical history would prevent you from having one. At your first appointment with us, you therapist will ask you a number of questions relating to your past medical history, to ensure that you are safe to treat.

Your first 50 Minute Massage appointment with us will cost £75.

Each follow up treatment will cost either £75 for a 50 Minute Massage, or £55 for a 30 Minute Massage.

We do offer a selection of appointment packages, to help you save on the cost of your Massage with us.

Alternatively, if you do have a cash plan policy with an insurance provider, then you may be able to use your allowance on your policy to access Massage with us.

The appointment type you will need to book in for is either an Initial Massage or Initial Sports & Deep Tissue Massage.

Yes, you can exercise after a massage, but it’s best to listen to your body and start with gentle movements. Light activity can help maintain the benefits of the massage, but avoid intense workouts immediately afterward to allow your muscles time to recover. If you’re unsure, your therapist can provide personalized advice based on your treatment.
Your first massage appointment with us will be 50 minutes in length. Follow up massage appointments will either be 50 minutes in length, or 30 minutes in length, depending on your preference.

To prepare for a massage, wear comfortable clothing and arrive a few minutes early to relax and discuss any specific concerns with your therapist. Staying hydrated before your session can also help your muscles respond better to treatment. Avoid heavy meals or strenuous exercise right before your appointment for the best experience.

The ideal frequency for getting a massage depends on your individual needs and lifestyle. For general relaxation and maintenance, once every 3-4 weeks is recommended, while athletes or those with specific issues may benefit from more frequent sessions. Your therapist can help create a personalised plan to suit your goals and recovery needs.
