Johnny Real
Senior Physiotherapist
Johnny grew up in Bournemouth with his parents, brother and sister.
He studied Physiotherapy at Bournemouth University and graduated in 2021 with an upper second-class honors.
Prior to studying and qualifying as a Physiotherapist, Johnny worked as a personal trainer, gaining 6-7 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. During University he enjoyed placements working in all different aspects of Physiotherapy, but ultimately knew his passion was to specialize into musculoskeletal therapy. He has worked in this field since graduating in 2021.
In terms of Johnny’s motivation to become a Physiotherapist, whilst working as a personal trainer, he wanted to learn more and progress his own skills to be able to help people further. Having undergone Physiotherapy treatment for his own injuries, he was able to see first-hand how impactful Physiotherapy was on his own quality of life. The way Physiotherapy was able to help him to overcome injuries was what inspired Johnny to go on to train as a Physiotherapist himself, allowing him to help others to get back to what they love doing.
Johnny has a real passion for helping people and really enjoys working with people. He always approaches physiotherapy as a collaborative journey and believes part of the key to success is understanding individual goals and expectations. He finds it very rewarding seeing the changes in someone from the start of their rehab journey to the end.
