Where did you grow up

Bethany grew up in West Sussex, not far from Gatwick Airport, with her Mum, Dad and Sister.

Qualifications

She studied Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton and graduated in 2026 with first class honours, starting her role at JCP straight away.

Experience

Bethany has thoroughly enjoyed treating a range of conditions across her student physiotherapy placements in MSK outpatients, amputee rehabilitation, trauma & orthopaedics, paediatrics and stroke rehabilitation. She found it useful to gain experience across many aspects of physiotherapy and is especially passionate about musculoskeletal rehabilitation, so Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy is a great fit for her!

What was your motivation to become a Physiotherapist / What do enjoy the most about your work

She loves that her job involves working with a range of different people and really enjoys getting to know her clients and their interests! Along with her curiosity about human movement and function, this was a huge part of her motivation to become a Physiotherapist. She gets to meet new people every day and make a difference in their lives as she helps them through their rehabilitation journey. Bethany finds this a very rewarding job as she gets the privilege of seeing the progress that clients make towards their goals!

Question & Answer

JCP is a great fit for me due to my passion for musculoskeletal rehabilitation. In private practice there is greater scope to spend time with clients getting to know their interests and goals which helps me target their rehabilitation to be specific to them. This is so valuable because it helps motivate them in their rehabilitation and build positive relations as I support them to achieve their goals.
Working at JCP keeps me on my toes since every client is different and I love the challenge of treating a range of conditions. I particularly enjoy the creativity involved with rehabilitation for paediatric clients and I also like treating overuse sports injuries, lower back pain and whiplash as I have seen Physiotherapy intervention have great results for these!
I am a keen runner and rugby player, I love being outdoors and I enjoy getting stuck in at my local church!
Cool Runnings has got to be number 1!
Anywhere with sunshine! And I love the Lake District! Although sunshine and the UK don’t always mix!
