Areas of Specialist Interest

Jordan’s clinical interests reflect both his sporting background and extensive experience managing complex rehabilitation cases. He has developed particular expertise in:

  • Advanced shoulder assessment, treatment and rehabilitation – including complex rotator cuff pathology, instability, post-operative rehabilitation and persistent shoulder pain.
  • Sports injury management and return-to-play planning – from acute injury through to high-level performance rehabilitation.
  • Traumatic orthopaedic injury recovery – including complex, high-impact injuries such as motorcycle accidents and multi-structure trauma.
  • Holistic, strength-based physiotherapy – integrating education, progressive loading and performance principles to build long-term resilience and reduce recurrence.

Jordan works with both amateur and professional athletes across disciplines including running, rugby, racquet sports, climbing, golf and skiing.

Alongside sporting populations, he has extensive experience supporting individuals recovering from surgery, complex injury or long-standing pain who require a structured, specialist-led rehabilitation plan.

About Jordan

Jordan grew up moving around the United Kingdom due to his father’s career in the Royal Air Force. After attending boarding school in Gloucestershire for his GCSEs and A-Levels, he later settled on the South Coast to pursue further study and develop his professional career.

With over a decade of experience in performance and rehabilitation, Jordan brings a unique blend of strength and conditioning expertise and advanced physiotherapy practice. He began his career as a Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach, developing a strong foundation in biomechanics, load management and athletic performance before qualifying as a Physiotherapist from the University of Southampton with First Class Honours in 2022.

He joined Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy (JCP) in 2022, rapidly progressing to Senior Physiotherapist and now Clinical Specialist. In this role, he manages more complex and specialist cases, while also mentoring and supporting other Physiotherapists and Sports Therapists within the team to maintain exceptional clinical standards.

Jordan is committed to continual professional development and regularly undertakes advanced postgraduate training to ensure his patients receive evidence-based, up-to-date rehabilitation strategies.

His decision to pursue physiotherapy was driven by a desire to provide a higher level of clinical care than strength coaching alone could offer. Early experience working with post-surgical and rehabilitation clients at Nuffield Health solidified his ambition to bridge the gap between medical rehabilitation and high-level performance.

Jordan places significant emphasis on detailed assessment, clear diagnosis and structured rehabilitation planning. He believes effective physiotherapy should not only resolve pain, but restore strength, confidence and long-term physical capacity.

While his background lends itself particularly well to athletic and performance-driven individuals, he works equally effectively with professionals, active adults and individuals recovering from surgery who want a comprehensive and results-focused approach.

As a Clinical Specialist, he is also passionate about mentoring colleagues and contributing to the continued development and clinical excellence at JCP.

Question & Answer

Private practice, and JCP specifically, provided an environment where I could deliver the highest standard of care without compromise. I was immediately impressed by Jonathan’s commitment to clinical excellence, the quality of the facilities and equipment, and the strong professional culture within the team.

I am particularly drawn to cases that require detailed assessment, structured rehabilitation and measurable progression — especially complex shoulder conditions and post-operative recovery.

That said, I value the breadth of presentations seen at JCP. The variety challenges me to continually refine my knowledge and ensures every day is professionally rewarding. I welcome all musculoskeletal conditions in my clinic and enjoy helping patients achieve outcomes that genuinely change their quality of life.

Outside of work I maintain an active lifestyle, with interests including running, hiking, strength training, cycling, climbing, golf, racquet sports and skiing.

I am also a keen motorcyclist and enjoy touring and racing, both on and off road. Travel — particularly adventure-based trips across the UK and Europe — is something I value highly. I also enjoy live music and theatre with my wife, often accompanied by good food and a glass of wine.
It depends on my mood — from comedies such as Anchorman to classics like Gladiator and The Shawshank Redemption.
My favourite holidays are adventure-driven, whether that’s van or motorcycle touring or ski trips. The destination matters less than the opportunity to explore, stay active and experience something new.
