The lower back, also known as the lumbar spine, is a common place for people to present with pain. The causes of lower back pain are normally not serious! However, it is always best to seek professional help!
Lower back pain can occur at any time and usually has no definitive reason for the onset, also known as non-specific back pain.
The pain doesn’t always have to just be in the back. Sometimes pain can be felt in the hips as well as the back and this is not uncommon.
A common thought process is that ‘rest is best’. Unfortunately that is not the case with lower back pain as new research has discovered.
