What’s so good about Chamomile tea?

Chamomile is an herb derived from the daisy plant and is well known for its ability to relieve stomach pain (including period cramps and IBS!) and treat insomnia.

There are two types of chamomile; Matricaria retutica & Chamaemelum nobile; both of which provide anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant effects!

This herb provides a mild sedative effect, resulting in anxiety relief and better sleep. 3-4 cups a day have proven to help increase sleep as well as acting as an immunity booster!

Chamomile has also been shown to improve skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and acne.

Side Effects:

  • May cause drowsiness
  • Take caution if allergic to ragweed pollen or if you have severe hay fever
  • Not recommended for use during pregnancy or if you are taking blood thinning drugs
  • Remember moderation is key!
