Ankle Sprain Rehabilitation
Ankle injuries often require the standard PRICE regime: Protect Rest Ice Compression Elevation However, if your sprain is more severe you may also require crutches for the initial period following your injury. Some injuries will require further immobilisation for 2-3 weeks in order to provide support and protection to your ankle, allowing it to heal.

A common injury caused by a twisting force to the lower leg or foot, often affecting the lateral side of the ankle. Sprains involve damage to the ligaments that stabilise the ankle joint, presenting as tears which vary in severity. See below for the different types of Ankle sprains.
